Ventilated façades have become one of the most efficient construction systems in modern building. Ventilated façade system components

1)

Support wall

Responsible for anchoring and supporting the weight of the cladding and the loads transmitted to it. This wall can be built using ceramic brick or concrete.

2)

Insulation layer

Material used to achieve enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation. The type and thickness of the material will be selected according to each project’s requirements.

3)

Air cavity

The space between the insulation layer and the ceramic cladding. For effective ventilation, it must have a minimum thickness of 20 mm.

4)

Anchoring system

A framework of profiles, brackets, and clips that secure the cladding to support wall.

5)

Cladding

Extruded porcelain stoneware pieces that form the external façade finish.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

TEMPERATURE

The ventilated façade significantly improves the building’s thermal insulation by reducing thermal bridges and preventing heat loss thanks to its anchoring system and air cavity.

SUMMER

Material used to achieve enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation. The type and thickness of the material will be selected according to each project’s requirements.

WINTER

The cavity acts as a heat accumulator and, together with the insulation layer, helps maintain indoor temperature.

MOISTURE

The pieces feature near-zero water absorption, preventing frost damage. In addition, the anchoring system is made of stainless steel, ensuring resistance to adverse weather conditions.

RAIN

The system easily withstands rain and wind, protects the wall, and reduces water ingress by facilitating drainage within the façade.

CONDENSATION

Constant ventilation eliminates condensation, keeps the insulation dry, and prevents dampness both inside and outside the wall.

CERAMIC TECHNOLOGY

NATUR-TECH+ extrusion technology enables the production of pieces with optimized geometries for installation without the need for subsequent machining. Its exclusive hollow-core system provides a firm structure while significantly reducing weight. This engineering combined with porcelain stoneware results in a highly compact material (water absorption < 0.5%) offering an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.

FTS 502 B

Technical fixing system for ceramic ventilated façades using vertical profiles, consisting of retention and support brackets, single and double stainless steel clips, and connection elements. The continuous vertical joint incorporates an EPDM profile to prevent water ingress and vibrations.

The brackets are designed to adapt to different cavity thicknesses. This thermal envelope anchoring system allows spans of up to 1200 mm between vertical profiles.

FTS 506

Technical fixing system for porcelain ventilated façades composed of retention and support brackets with horizontal rails that allow the installation of staggered joints.

Installation: Vertical profiles are fixed onto the brackets, and the horizontal rails are then installed over them. The tolerance adjustment between the ceramic pieces and the horizontal profile is achieved a polyurethane resin–based polymer sealant.

FTS 505 VERTICAL

This system is designed for the vertical installation of ceramic pieces. Unlike other vertical anchoring systems, in the FTS 505 the clip is positioned in the groove rather than in the cavities.

In addition to enhancing the verticality of the façade, the system allows installation with staggered joints. The FTS 505 is characterized by an EPDM profile running along the horizontal joint to protect against water ingress and to dampen vibrations.

CERAMIC CLADDING

CERAMIC CLADDING Natur-Tech+

The system is based on a framework of extruded profiles joined with stainless steel components, consisting of vertical and horizontal rails.

HORIZONTAL RAILS:

They are mechanically fixed to the vertical rails and their function is to collect and support the loads from the porcelain material as well as those generated by wind or other external factors. They transfer shear forces and allow free expansion and contraction of the materials. The connection is always made close to the support point, where they intersect with the vertical profiles.

VERTICAL RAILS:

Their main function is to transfer the loads received from the horizontal rails to the rigid points of the wall. They are anchored to the floor slabs using certified mechanical or chemical anchoring systems and fixing brackets, ensuring the fixation, retention, and support of the entire structure.
